Our Fluor Legacy
Global Location Strategies began in the 1970s as Fluor Corporation’s site selection consulting division in Greenville, SC. In 2009, it spun off from Fluor with former consultant Didi Caldwell at the helm. Since then, GLS has expanded from two employees to over 16, with more than 110 years of combined site location and economic development experience, continuing to partner with Fluor on global projects.
1971
Daniel International Corporation location strategy group is formed by Bill Dorsey in Greenville, SC
1997
Didi Caldwell joins Fluor Daniel as a marketing coordinator in Buenos Aires, Argentina working on the Dow Ethane Cracker and Minera Alumbrera copper mine and concentrator. The following year, she joins Fluor Daniel Consulting in Greenville, SC.
2009
