Corporate site selection firm Global Location Strategies recently added Nicholette Ross and Cedric Colbert to its consulting team and promoted Parker Wyatt to Consultant.
Prior to joining GLS, Ross was an International Business Development Manager for the South Carolina Department of Commerce in Munich, Germany. Colbert previously worked as a Business Development and Incentives Specialist with the Alabama Department of Commerce.
GLS Founding Principal Didi Caldwell expressed confidence in the individuals chosen to fill the new positions. “Nicholette and Cedric are both highly respected and accomplished professionals who have tremendous drive and enthusiasm for their work. Our team is thrilled to have them join our site selection adventures.”
Both positions were newly created to accommodate an increase in new business.
Ross began her global economic development career in South Florida with the Miami-Dade County Office of Economic Development and International Trade. She then joined the South Carolina Department of Commerce as a project manager and after two years transitioned to manage European business development in Munich, Germany. While there, her primary responsibility was advising European companies interested in establishing new business operations in the USA and promoting the benefits of locating in South Carolina.
A graduate of the USC Darla Moore School of Business, Ross is currently the acting Chair of the Young Alumni Council and a former Gamecock cheerleader. In addition, while earning an MBA from Florida International University, she was a cheerleading coach and instructor at the University of Miami and the Universal Cheerleaders Association.
At the Alabama Department of Commerce, Colbert was initially responsible for recruiting companies to the state. He later transitioned to the role of Incentives Specialist, ensuring that global corporations complied with the economic incentives and tax credits provided to them.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Auburn University and a master’s degree in applied economics from Auburn University at Montgomery.
Wyatt has been with GLS since 2018 as a business analyst. His new responsibilities as a site selection consultant are facilitating and managing site selection projects for industrial and manufacturing clients around the world and advising communities and economic development organizations on investment attraction strategies. He is also responsible for all Site Shepherd support traffic.
