Greenville, S.C.-based site selection firm Global Location Strategies (GLS) has announced that two of their principals – John Longshore and Sarah S. White – have been inducted into the prestigious Site Selectors Guild (SSG), the world’s foremost consortium of location advisory consultants.
Membership to SSG is exclusive to the most highly qualified professionals in the business and individuals must be nominated and approved by their industry peers.
“John and Sarah are both highly respected site selection professionals with valuable expertise, particularly in the areas of manufacturing and large-scale industrial projects,” says SSG Executive Director Rick Weddle. “Their combined strength adds tremendous depth to SSG’s ability to provide the most insightful guidance possible to corporations and economic development organizations.”
Longshore and White join GLS Founding Principal Didi Caldwell as members of SSG, putting GLS among a very small, but elite group of SSG firms with more than two members.
Caldwell said, “As a former Chair and current member of SSG who happens to have had the pleasure of working with John and Sarah, I can say without question that they have both earned their selection to this prestigious organization. Their work ethic and skills are beyond reproach, yet they bring equal measures of good humor and humility to their jobs, making them both a pleasure to work with.”
The mission of SSG is to advance the profession of international corporate site selection by promoting the profession and providing education, networking, and other services to those involved in the industry. As the first and only group of its kind, SSG brings together a dynamic network of site selectors from around the world, combining their talent and expertise to create an invaluable resource, unmatched in its quality, for both corporations seeking site selection assistance and economic development organizations.
Longshore, Principal and Vice President of Innovation, has been with GLS since 2012 and has advised corporate location decisions valued at over $10 billion in capital investment throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
White, Principal and Vice President of Site Selection, joined GLS in 2019 and has over 12 years of site selection experience that includes conducting location benchmarking, property evaluations, workforce analysis, and incentive negotiations for companies in North America and across the globe.
