Kornelia Kostka

Location Intelligence Specialist

As a location intelligence specialist, Kornelia provides strategic research and analysis to clients regarding location decisions. She also manages the company’s overall data portfolio and supports the firm’s initiatives to integrate integral data into its software platforms, Lasso and Site Shepherd.

A native of Kielce, Poland, Kornelia moved to Charleston, South Carolina to attend school on a cross-country and track and field scholarship. Her interest in economic development was initially sparked while working one summer for the South Carolina Department of Commerce’s European Office in Munich, Germany.

Following graduation, Kornelia worked as a data analyst before returning to Krakow, Poland to work in banking operations. Kornelia returned to the United States to attend the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business where she earned her International MBA, while also working in supply chain management with United Parcel Service. Prior to joining GLS, Kornelia managed the Greenville Area Development Corporation’s research efforts to support business recruitment and retention.

Kornelia holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the College of Charleston and an international MBA from the University of South Carolina. She loves to stay active and enjoys running, hiking, and cycling.
