Global Location Strategies (GLS), one of the world’s leading corporate site selection firms, today announced the expansion of its international presence with the opening of an Amsterdam office.

“Establishing a presence in the Netherlands will enable us to better serve our overseas clients, expand our global reach, and continue our growth trajectory,” said GLS President and CEO Didi Caldwell. “We are excited to extend our European network and serve new clients as they look to grow their corporate footprint.”

Originally part of the Fluor Corporation, GLS spun off as an independent firm in 2009. Today, the team has 110 years of location strategy and economic development experience. In the last 15 years, the two-time Inc. 5000 firm has announced projects creating more than 14,000 jobs and representing almost $40 billion in capital investment. GLS works with companies across a wide range of industries globally, including European-based Constellium, Diageo, Van Hool, and WACKER among others.

Nicholette Ross has been named managing consultant of GLS’s new European office. Ross brings a unique international perspective to location strategy, having worked overseas in Europe for the South Carolina Department of Commerce. At SC Commerce’s European Office, located in Munich, Germany, she advised and assisted companies across 13 countries in opening a facility in the U.S. As a member of the GLS team, Ross has supported the location decision-making of companies in the battery, clean tech, metals, and plastics industries.
