Global Location Strategies (GLS) has hired Tess Fay as a site selection consultant, responsible for providing location advisory services for the company’s industrial manufacturing and economic development clients. Global Location Strategies is one of the world’s leading site selection firms specializing in capital-, resource-, and labor-intensive industry.
Fay comes to GLS from the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development where she served two years as project manager responsible for cultivating business growth, investment and job creation. While there, she worked on $14 billion worth of capital investment projects that represented 23,500 jobs across a multitude of industries, such as heavy manufacturing, agribusiness, and high-tech shared services. Prior to joining KCED, Fay worked for four years in a variety of marketing and business development capacities for the Big Ass Fan Company, manufacturers of innovative and award-winning cooling and lighting products for industrial and residential use.
“I had the opportunity to work with Tess on multiple occasions while she was at KCED and her passion for site selection and economic development was always evident through her professionalism and attention to detail,” says GLS Founding Principal Didi Caldwell. “She understands the needs industrial manufacturers have in siting locations and how to substantiate location decisions backed up by copious data. She will be a tremendous asset to our growing team.”
Fay has a B.A. in English and French from Centre College and an MBA from The University of West Georgia.
